Do you host events or offer trainings?
Are you a coach or facilitator?
Join our this immersive, dynamic and enriching space for facilitators to improve your skills through practice and peer-to-peer learning.
During the Facilitathon you will improve your ability to facilitate learning experiences through interactive and adaptive sessions, practice and peer-to-peer learning.
Do you want to get to the next level as a facilitator? The Facilitathon gives you five weeks of in-depth sessions on theory and methods around facilitating learning experiences.
Have you been wanting to participate in training again? To feel first-hand impact of tools, methods and practices? Learn new approaches and techniques by being facilitated by other experienced facilitators from Europe and beyond.
Do you have an activity that you have always wanted to try out but it was probably too risky to do in your professional context? This is your opportunity to experiment with an audience who will happily give feedback and debrief it with you.
Exchange ideas with professional facilitators and coaches from very different fields and grow your network across Europe and beyond. Learn from and with them.
Week by week, you will immerse yourself into one of five central topics for facilitating learning experiences:
After a short introduction, you will be able to choose between three different sessions each week to deepen your understanding of the topic. This way, you are able to self-direct your learning during the whole course.
In pairs or alone, you will get the opportunity to develop and facilitate a session, and get detailed feedback by your peers and a NOW Facilitator.
Due to the rapidly developing nature of the COVID-19 pandemic in different parts of the world, we have decided to run our practise sessions online in this edition.
Practice sessions in languages other than English are possible, depending on the make-up of the group.
During the Facilitathon, you will be accompanied by an experienced learning facilitator, trained in the NOW methodology of Learning Facilitation.
Your learning facilitator will guide you on your individual learning path, help you set and reflect upon your learning goals and nudge you into new directions.
Bi-weekly group calls with a small group of peers will allow you to reflect and harvest your learning experience.
You will receive your learning certificate one week after the end of the program.
We only have three prerequisites for participating in the program:
The program is aimed at anyone who already has at least 2 years experience in facilitation or training.
This can be both in a formal or non-formal learning setting, in a non-profit or community-based project or in a corporate environment.
Although potentially practice sessions can be held in different language groups, depending on the set-up of participants, we expect fluency in English for you to be able to fully comprehend and interact with the content and the group and really benefit from the experience.
The Facilitathon will only have a transformative impact if you’re able to dedicate time and energy for it throughout the implementation period.
On average, you should expect to spend around 3 hours per week on the program.
Participants from any corner of the world are welcome to apply, however,
we can only offer scholarships for participants from partner countries.
The Facilitathon’s design is based on a framework of key competences for facilitating learning experiences.
We will use the NOW App to measure your development in these different competences along the program. This will allow you to more clearly see your strengths and your development as a facilitator.
At the end of the program, you will receive a personalized learning certificate.
