TOOLS

Do you want to get to the next level as a facilitator? The Facilitathon will give you hands- on trainings and access to lots of new methods and tools.

INSIGHTS

Have you been wanting to be a participant in a training again and feel how certain tools impact you? Learn new approaches and techniques by being facilitated by others.

SPACE FOR PROTOTYPING

You have an activity that you have always wanted to try but it was too risky to do in a work context? This is your opportunity to experiment with an audience who will happily debrief it with you.

NEW CONTACTS

Exchange ideas with professional facilitators from very different fields and grow your network. Learn from and with them in an intensive weekend.

THE APPROACH

The Facilitathon’s learning approach is mainly based on direct feedback, on participating in each other’s sessions and on sharing the “behind the scenes” tips and tricks. It’s not a top down workshop on what facilitation is or how you facilitate. It’s rather a safe space for facilitators to try, experiment and give each other useful and personal feedback.

TARGET GROUP

The Facilitathon has been designed for experienced facilitators who hardly have access to spaces where they can improve their skills. You should thus have some kind of experience of working with groups: hosting, coaching, training, moderating or facilitating. We are aiming at a diverse group of participants so do reach out if you’re not sure if this is for you.

WHAT COMPETENCES WILL I DEVELOP?

The Facilitathon is designed based on a framework of 12 key competences of a facilitator,
such as Active Listening, Asking Powerful Questions, Presence and Flexibility, among many others.

Inclusiveness

This year’s edition will include self and peer assessment tools for you to be able to more clearly see your strengths and your development as a facilitator. Part of the process involves having each participant define their individual learning goals and reflect upon them throughout the process. The results such tools provide us will help us to create a personalized learning certificate for each participant.

PARTICIPATION FEE

The participation fee for the Facilitathon 2019 includes:

  • Accommodation in shared bedrooms
  • All meals during the event (Nov 25th to 29th)
  • All training materials

∗ We are able to offer partial reimbursement for travel expenses from partner countries (Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Morocco, Netherlands, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey and UK), as long as our travel guidelines are followed.
